Topics

Wonton'07 will retain the focus on nanotube optics, photonics, optoelectronics, and spectroscopy established in the first Workshop. As this is such a rapidly developing field, we expect entirely new topics within these general themes will arise at the Workshop itself. As a guideline, some of the topics covered in the first Wonton'05 included:

• Light absorption, emission, and scattering
• Carrier interactions, band structure and optical spectra
• Excitons in carbon nanotubes
• Ultrafast dynamics of carriers, excitons, and phonons in carbon nanotubes
• Spectroscopy of small ensembles or individual nanotubes
• Magneto- and electro-optics
• Nanotube-based optoelectronic devices and electroluminescence
• Growth and purification of nanotubes for optical studies
• Photonic and optoelectronic applications of nanotubes
